Two Sisters Design

We recently asked Jamie and Jill, the owners of Two Sisters Design, what they love about design. They both responded that design combines two of their favorite things together, helping others and being creative.
Both sisters have had formal training. Jamie studied at New York Institute of Design and Art, and Jill studied to become a certified window treatment specialist for Hunter Douglas and Norman Windows. They also had color training courses through Benjamin Moore, and Jamie taught community education classes at Lincoln Land Community College on color.
Jamie works exclusively with Brooklynn homes in design, and Jill has worked with many clients after they have closed as they need window treatments. Two Sisters Design are members of Local First in Springfield. They come from a big Italian family and love to cook!
What we love about Two Sisters Design ~ They work with many different types of customers from individuals and families who come to us with pictures and themes, to those who have a rough idea of what they might like, to others who want something new or fresh but aren’t sure what that may look like. The consultations and design are fantastic. From what paint color would look good in room with a lot of light to no light, big room, small room, or even matching floor, cabinets, countertops, window treatments, and paint. Each consultation and experience for each customer is just as fun and exciting as if it was the first one. Jamie and Jill are fantastic at what they do. At Brooklynn Homes we couldn’t be prouder to partner with this local business and give our customers a one of a kind forever home.

Meet Jane Hay Sales & Staging Team

Jane Hay’s business success is a direct result of her can-do positive attitude, high energy work ethic, and long-term vision for a real estate business that incorporates both free home staging and excellent customer service.
Jane’s diverse background in the fields of business operations, project management, and customer relations helped to mold her unique approach to traditional real estate sales. “When I entered the real estate business, I wanted to do something no one else was doing. I wanted to make sure my listings stood out in a way that got them sold quickly,” Jane recalls. “It’s not enough to put a sign in the yard, ad in the paper, and wait and see what happens. I wanted each and every one of my listings to be professionally prepared for sale so that the home would appeal to the most amount of buyers and generate the highest price in the least amount of time on the market.” Home staging has helped her do this. Now the leader of the Jane Hay Sales and Staging Team, they stage all their teams listings for FREE. They have a 5,000 square foot showroom which is the home for over $100,000 of furnishings to help them prepare their homes for sale. Their clients believe their services set them apart and keep them in the top 5 rankings among their 600 plus colleagues.
Prior to Jane’s real estate career, she served as a project assistant for the Secretary of State’s office and served on Illinois State Treasurer, Judy Baar Topinka’s executive staff. Jane also served as office administrator/paralegal for Wolter, Beeman, & Lynch Law Offices.
Jane started working with Brooklyn Homes in 2011 on a personal level when she recommended them to build her parent’s duplex in Piper Glen Subdivision. Jane’s parents had built several of their own homes in the past and were extremely pleased with the quality, attention to detail & level of communication throughout the entire process. Today, Jane has the pleasure of working with Brooklynn Homes as their realtor.
Personal Background
Born and raised in nearby Taylorville, Illinois, Jane moved to Springfield in 1989. She and her husband, David made Chatham their home in 1998, where they now reside with their two sons. David works at Chatham-Glenwood High School where he is a teacher and Head Football Coach.
Jane is devoted to making a difference and is an active presence in the community.
